Welcome to the Holly Avenue Historic District! Those of us who live here have the honor of preserving the historic, residential character of the neighborhood while enjoying the experience of urban living. It is the goal of the Holly Avenue Neighborhood Association to ensure that our community is a healthy and dynamic place to live

Situated on steep hills on the west side of downtown Winston-Salem, the Holly Avenue neighborhood is sited on land once protected by the Moravian Church as a water source for the town of Salem. The neighborhood began to develop primarily in the early 20th century and today, it is the only downtown residential district that remains intact. Holly Avenue’s buildings comprise a collection of architectural styles and types that was not found in other downtown neighborhoods of the period. 

From our apartments, houses or condos it is easy walking distance to the downtown area, immediately adjacent to the new ballpark, the Sawtooth Center and just a hop away from several highway entrances.
