The Winston-Salem Police Department Downtown Bike Patrol is located at 414 N. Cherry Street. The Bike Patrol operates a dayshift from Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 6:00pm and an evening shift Monday through Saturday, 5:00pm until 1:00am. Sundays hours vary (approximate hours 12p-6p). Starting June 22, 09 NEW HOURS: Monday- Sunday 6:40am-2:20am

First Street IR# 925743 05/20/2009 22:29hrs. 515 W 1st St. Stabbing- Boyfriend and girlfriend involved an argument. During the argument the suspect stabbed victim several times and fled the area. Suspect was arrested after K-9 track. Third Street IR#924753 05-15-09 18:52hrs 1 W. 3rd St. Auto Breaking & Larceny- Unknown suspect broke into victim’s vehicle and stole golf clubs from back seat. Spring Street Fourth Street IR#925049 05-17-2009 04:51hrs. 227 W. 4th St- Suspicious Person: Alarm activation at Jimmy John’s. The business was secure when officers arrived. After viewing the security tape from the business, it was determined a black male, 5’10”, long dreadlocks and dark clothing hit the front window with unknown object, possibly a rock, as he walked by. IR#921936 05-01-2009 07:57hrs. 810 W. 4th St- Auto Breaking & Larceny: Suspect broke out window on vehicle and stole MP3 player that was left in center console in plain view. Arrests on Fourth St. Marshall Street IR#926654 05-25-09 21:25hrs. 226 N Cherry St- Store Breaking & Larceny. Suspect entered construction site and stole construction equipment. Suspect was arrested. IR#926705 05-26-09 06:35hrs. 226 N Cherry St- Store Breaking & Larceny. Personnel with the business discovered several pieces of construction equipment and laptop computers stolen from lockers. No suspect information. Possibly related to IR#926654. Cherry Street IR#922128 05-02-2009 03:43hrs. Cherry St/ Fifth St- Affray- Two friends sharing a cab began fighting with each other over who was better looking. IR#927677 05-30-2009 22:09hrs. 400 N Cherry St- Rape- Victim advised she was at an unknown hotel in the downtown area for a party. While in the hotel room suspect raped the victim. Incident occurred in December 2008 but was not reported till May. IR# 927717 05-31-2009 02:55hrs. 515 N Cherry St- Assault on Female. Victim advised she was assaulted by security personnel from Harpers Caberet. Prosecution declined. IR#924577 05-14-2009 22:38hrs. 201 N Cherry St- Victim left vehicle unlocked while parked in the parking deck. Suspect broke out passenger window and stole purse which was on seat. IR#925387 05-19-09 05:23hrs. 715 W. 5th St. Store Breaking & Larceny- B/M & W/M suspect broke into business and deactivated alarm. US currency was taken from safe. 100 W 5th St. Bus Station. This continues to be a high call location. During the month of May the following arrest were made at this location: Trade ST IR#922516 05-02-2009 12:01hrs. 406 N. Trade St- Larceny & Simple Assault. Two black females involved in fight with one another. During the fight victim had her purse taken as well. Suspect was arrested. IR#925369 05-19-2009 00:43hrs. 531 N. Trade St- Auto Breaking- Victim looked outside and observed suspect inside vehicle. By the time victim was able to get outside the suspect fled the area on foot. The vehicle was left unlocked. Nothing taken. Burke Street IR#927361 05-29-2009 10:56hrs. 1110 Burke St. Auto Breaking& Larceny. Victim left vehicle unlocked while at Burke St Pub. Unknown suspect stole Ipod and charger. IR#924640 05-15-2009 08:54hrs. 1110 Burke St. Auto Breaking& Larceny. Suspect stole GPS from vehicle. Unknown how entry was made. During the month of May numerous calls for service were received for assaults, alcohol violations and violations of City Ordinances. This area was targeted by both the Downtown Bike Patrol Officers and Patrol Officers. Liberty Street IR#924078 05-12-2009 13:47hrs. 200 N Liberty St- Victim’s vehicle was left unlocked. Unknown suspect broke into vehicle and stole stereo. Main St IR#924171 05-12-2009 22:56hrs. 400blk N Main St. Victim left her purse on passenger side floor board. Unknown suspect broke into vehicle and stole purse. Victim unsure is vehicle was locked or not. MAY EVENTS Salute Wine Festival- 4th St- No problems reported.
